Our Story

What happens when a blended family of 12 decide to jump in on a crazy idea to buy a vineyard with an events center and open a tasting room?

An Adventure.

One we invite you to share! It’s true, our family is a little crazy, uprooting from Portland, preparing, learning, remodeling, and all in the midst of the COVID 19 shut down. But we are crazy about serving people and about local business. About giving you a great experience, a lasting memory, and our greatest wish, a few crazy new friends.

Our family members have been hard at work preparing to meet you, and make a comfortable, unique place for you to enjoy your friends, family and a great glass of wine. Each is using his or her gifts to bring you the best of what the Willamette Valley, and especially the Dallas, OR area has to offer. While you visit with us you’ll most likely meet the members of our family, so here’s a brief introduction.

Jim and Tanya

Jim is an author, an executive with a national company, and a serial entrepreneur. But for Radius and BeckenRidge Vineyard, just the janitor.

Tanya is the one who started it all, visionary, designer, and Mom – to her kids, their spouses, and our guests. She is also a serial entrepreneur having owned design, staging, painting, jewelry, event planning, and other companies. She delights in creating welcoming spaces that will make you feel special.

Brandon and Alora

Brandon is the manager here at Radius, and he also keeps you up to date on all the BeckenRidge and Radius news via social media. He is the father of four, and when he’s not at Radius he’s spending time with his family, building something beautiful, or enjoying a good cigar on his back porch. If you like cigars, Brandon is the guy to ask for recommendations.

Alora is our cosmetologist, floral designer, server, flower gardener, and creator of unique spaces. Whether it’s a floral masterpiece, a stroke of eyeliner that pops, or a full room layout, she makes people and spaces look amazing. She is a force for encouragement and positivity – everyone is special and she can make you feel that way. When she’s not working, she loves snuggling up with her four girls for a disney movie, or meeting up with friends for coffee and conversation.

Nathan and Kelsey

Nathan is our vineyard manager and wizard of wine (well, at least a wizard’s apprentice). He is deep into a well rounded education of experience and classes to learn from soil to shoot what it takes to grow desirable wine grapes. He lovingly tends to some of the oldest vines in Oregon to coax them into producing the high quality fruit our buyers love. His other passions include story, history, philosophy, getting out into nature, and gaming.

Kelsey is our graphic artist, dream maker, and guardian of wellbeing. She creates all of our logos, websites, and marketing materials. She designed and hand painted the map on the Radius wall! She also works with wedding couples at BeckenRidge to design and create unique wedding invites. Above all she senses and helps balance the differing moods and personalities in our family with a goal to bring harmony and wellbeing to each and all as a team.

Tim and Sabrina

Tim is our building and grounds guru. He uses his sense of proportion, hard work ethic, and desire for order to make our place look spectacular. His gift for analysis adds a well rounded view to our projects. He prefers to excel behind the scenes to make people happy. His ability to keep perfect lines with a mower, clip just the right twig from a shrub, and keep the water flowing through our irrigation system keeps BeckenRidge at peak beauty.

Sabrina is our creative baker and master of all things sweet. While we don’t yet have a commercial bakery, Sabrina is hard at work behind the scenes creating the most amazing (and often gluten-free) treats to share with the entire team. She is in business school to learn the operations side of things but we look forward to her having a booming baking business in the near future!! She’s a happy host and server at Radius and BeckenRidge, always willing to jump in and help as school allows.

Noah and Amberly

Noah is our resident I.T. geek. That means he’s the coolest person on our team. He is responsible for making sure our POS system at Radius works and that weddings can be live-streamed from BeckenRidge, along with a host of other technical necessities. His permanent good attitude coupled with his willingness to learn anything, not to mention his balancing skills on high, wobbly ladders makes him a necessary asset to almost any project.

Amberly is our events coordinator and Tanya’s right hand partner for all things organizational and creative where weddings and events are concerned. She also jumps in on orders, design, and anything that keeps our team coordinated. She has single handedly brought calm and progress to a very chaotic influx of wedding and event bookings.

Linnea

Linnea is our cheerleader, Radius server, and ‘make you feel welcomed’ expert. She is quick to want to know how you are doing, and to brighten anyone up who is not having a great day. Her gift for deep conversations with and eye to personal improvement challenge everyone in the most positive way. Don’t be surprised if she asks you how you are doing and refuses to accept ‘fine’ as an answer.

Daniel

Daniel is our resident barista, snappy dresser, and server at Radius. He splits his time being a Starbucks barista and a Radius server while being a behind the scenes process and policy creator. His knowledge of service excellence has helped Radius create an atmosphere of distinction and welcoming warmth. He has a wide array of interests and loves deep, abstract conversation.

From all of us, to you, we invite you to come, enjoy the wines of the Dallas area, hear the rest of our (very crazy) story, and we would LOVE to hear yours.
